Today, it&#8217;s COLD! And tomorrow we&#8217;re supposed to have snow. So today is the day to show you my favorite sweater patterns from this year&#8217;s GAL &#8211; are you ready?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1051\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/coronis.jpg\" alt=\"Coronis\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coronis.jpg 427w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/coronis-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>First, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/coronis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coronis<\/a> by Emily Ringelman &#8211; it&#8217;s the sweater I&#8217;ve chosen to make for me this year. Yarn and needles are in front of me, tempting me to cast on already, but I&#8217;ll be a good girl and make grandma&#8217;s socks first.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1052\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/isola.jpg\" alt=\"Sweater by ChristalLK\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/isola.jpg 427w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/isola-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love the look of sweaters knit sideways\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; it&#8217;s so fun to see patterns like cables worked perpendicular to what we&#8217;re used to, isn&#8217;t it? There are a few things that always get me, and funny wordplays are definitely one of them \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1056\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/columbine-tunic.jpg\" alt=\"Columbine Tunic\" width=\"640\" height=\"578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/columbine-tunic.jpg 640w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/columbine-tunic-300x271.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next up is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/columbine-tunic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Columbine Tunic<\/a> by Beyenburgerin Design &#8211; I&#8217;d have to make it about a million miles shorter because I&#8217;m incredibly small and several inches smaller around, but that would only mean it would be done in no time, I guess&#8230; \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1057\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/stern.jpg\" alt=\"Stern\" width=\"512\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/stern.jpg 512w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/stern-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/polar-star-sweater-poncho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polar Star Sweater Poncho<\/a> by Natalia Kononova makes me wish I could crochet better. And that I&#8217;d weight 20 kg less. And and and&#8230; Isn&#8217;t this pattern unbelievably awesome?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1058\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/tesclose_medium2.jpg\" alt=\"TesClose_medium2\" width=\"428\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/tesclose_medium2.jpg 428w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/tesclose_medium2-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another awesome pattern that immediately caught my eye is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/tessellation-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tesselation<\/a> by Kiri FitzGerald. If you know anything about my knitting, you probably know that I love lace, so how could I resist? And in worsted weight it wouldn&#8217;t take anywhere as long as my beloved lace shawls&#8230; This series of blog posts is getting dangerous, I&#8217;m beginning to think I can totally knit all the things and be finished tomorrow!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1059\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/touchofpink.jpg\" alt=\"touchofpink\" width=\"399\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/touchofpink.jpg 399w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/touchofpink-187x300.jpg 187w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This sweater aptly named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/that-touch-of-pink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">That Touch of Pink<\/a> by Helen Gipson is a longtime favorite of mine&#8230; One of these days I&#8217;ll make my own!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1060\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/hoodieshawlcardigan_03_sq_medium2.jpg\" alt=\"HoodieShawlCardigan_03_sq_medium2\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hoodieshawlcardigan_03_sq_medium2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hoodieshawlcardigan_03_sq_medium2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hoodieshawlcardigan_03_sq_medium2-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And another one for the category &#8220;If I were 20 years younger \/ slim \/ in any way fit to pull this off&#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/hoodie-shawl-cardigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hoodie Shawl Cardigan<\/a> by Susanne Sommer. Please, please &#8211; if you are young and slim or more brave than I am &#8211; make this! Wear it! Be proud!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1061\" src=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/girlonflowers2closeup_medium2.jpg\" alt=\"GirlonFlowers2closeup_medium2\" width=\"621\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/girlonflowers2closeup_medium2.jpg 621w, https:\/\/knittedinswitzerland.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/girlonflowers2closeup_medium2-291x300.jpg 291w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/spring-in-her-path\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spring in her Path<\/a> by Mary Annarella was on my shortlist for this year&#8217;s GAL sweater for the longest time &#8211; until I realized that it&#8217;s worked in fingering when I want to use DK.
