I’ve been thinking a lot during the last few days… I don’t know about you, but the times surely feel depressing to me. Afghanistan, Haiti, Covid, Climate Change, so much hatred in the world – everything seems to be falling apart. And I’m sitting here, safely in my own home in a safe country, thinking about publishing a sock pattern. Is that right? And how safe is my country really? I’m a straight, white cis woman – but fact is, lgbtq people in Switzerland still are not allowed to marry. Woman have been allowed to vote here since 1971, in one canton even since 1991 (can you believe that?????).

Ich habe die letzten Tage viel nachgedacht… ich weiss nicht, wie es Dir geht, aber im Moment f\u00fchlt sich alles zum Verzweifeln an. Afghanistan, Haiti, Covid, Klimawandel, so viel Hass in der Welt – alles scheint auseinanderzufallen. Und ich sitze hier, sicher in meinem eigenen Zuhause in einem sicheren Land, und will eine Sockenanleitung ver\u00f6ffentlichen. Ist das richtig? Und wie sicher ist mein Land eigentlich wirklich? Ich bin eine heterosexuelle, weisse, cis-Frau – aber Fakt ist, Angeh\u00f6rige der LGBTQ-Gemeinschaft k\u00f6nnen in der Schweiz immer noch nicht heiraten. Frauen haben seit 1971 Wahlrecht, in einem Kanton sogar erst seit 1991 (kannst Du Dir das vorstellen?????)<\/em>
