I remember many happy hours as a child spent at the house of my father’s cousin and her husband during my holidays. They lived ca. 250 km north of my hometown and I loved going there, spending time at the sea or on a boat on a river or in their beautiful garden.
I also loved that my cousin knew all these stories about when my Daddy was a kid – she knew sides of him that I would never be able to see.
To thank her for all this time, I designed a cowl for her, and I really hope she’s going to like it. 🙂 The pattern is available on Ravelry, Loveknitting and soon Etsy and Patternfish.
This cowl uses an old German stitch pattern that I find extremely beautiful – I just had to use it! Doesn’t it look gorgeous in the silky, shiny yarn from Switzerland?
The cowl is knit as a long scarf and then joined or seamed.
