Happy New Year everyone! Let’s hope that we’ll all be healthy, happy and successful in 2015! 🙂
I’ve been quiet for some time, but now I’ve got some things to show you. I really did it – I finished my Daddy’s blanket before Christmas and all my planned GAL projects before midnight on New Year’s Eve 🙂
This is the blanket I designed for my Dad. It’s made from Garnstudio Drops Peak and the stitch pattern is a mosaic pattern by Barbara Walker. He loved the colors, he loved the pattern and it’s keeping him warm – I couldn’t have hoped for more, I guess 🙂
With the blanket out of the way I got back to the GAL projects I had planned:
This is Papa watch me fly by Stephanie Mann, made from Citywool’s Alfa Superwash. It’s a lovely pattern, I’m wearing the hat all the time.
My second project was also a hat, My inner viking beanie by Jenny Faifel. I used Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in white and Wollmeise Twin in one of their We’re Different Colorways.
Project No. 3 was Ashwini Jambekhars Fountains and Cables Scarf made from the same Wollmeise yarn I used for the viking beanie. Wonderful pattern, gorgeous scarf, Wollmeise yarn… What’s not to love?
This is a pattern I have been wanting to make for years, and now was finally its time. It’s Lichen and Moss Shawl by Sue Lazenby also made from Wollmeise Twin.
As I was such a good girl and finished so many projects, my Christmas was very woolly. I was spoiled with beautiful yarn-related presents, but I’ll keep these for another post. 🙂
